''72 Miami Dolphins or Lewis and Clark?

Most of you know that I have a brother in law who is a third year at Midwestern. He called last night because several of his classmates have heard that a group of students rv'd to Conshohocken and they are trying to get a group together. He was calling to let me know and figure out the logistics. I gave him Master Messner's website (as straight a shooter as you'll ever find). I am torn a little bit though. What do you think, should we be like the '72 Dolphins and their perfect record and hope that nobody emulates, or like Lewis and Clark, the trailblazers for others to follow?
Either way, The Legend Grows.

I am afraid we can not, we will not, be as the 72 Dolphins...the legend will not allow it...future generations will follow suit. We must, therefore, be as Lewis and Clark, but the closest we have to Sacagawea was Susan, who led us to the Condom Kingdom.

Here here, let us be as pioneers, who paved the way for many others to follow. We will forever be legends as the first.

good luck to them, but i doubt they will ever get the logistics worked out and the plan off the ground. unless their group of guys has an equal to rhett and kevin they'll never pull it off.

I agree good luck getting twelve guys crazy enough to pull it off! But if they do, tell them to make sure the RV comes with a "hot Pocket". Either way the legend lives on.

I for one want to be the only group, let them come up with their own idea no leeching. It can't be duplicated unless during the exam one of their group says to one of the patients "try to get out of this one." All I have to do is say that to myself and I start to laugh. And I need laughter on this rotation. No offense to the other family practice guys but our family practice month is the worst in the hospital. I will take surgery 10 times over this fp rotation. But I just keep saying try to get out of this one and laugh all the bs away.

Whenever I hear a student or resident ask an attending "What's your strategy for ... [insert whatever]" I want to bust out with:

"Eat it all."
